Training Camps
With the outbreak of the Civil War in the spring of 1861, President Abraham Lincoln called for volunteers from each Northern state. In April, recruiters quickly filled the quota for a number of regiments in the state of Ohio. Designtated training camps were scattered throughout the state of Ohio. This directory is open for simple "LISTINGS" to locate these training camps.
