Fredericktown OH. Chartered Sept 24 1885. Named in memory of local soldier Jacob Young of Fredericktown who enlisted in 1862 as a private in Co B 96th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was killed Nov 3 1863 in battle at Grand Coteau LA.
