Coalton OH. Chartered March 12 1883. Named for David Dove who intially served as 1st Lt Co K 18th Ohio Volunteer Infantry for 3 months service. Upon discharged, he recruited a company for the 2nd West VA Cavalry as was made Captain. He was wounded in the service which caused his death in the spring of 1868.
