Perrysville OH. Chartered Mar 28 1885. Named in memory of John K. Zeigler who rose to the rank of Captain of Co I of the 64th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. During the battle at Chickamauga GA on Sept 20 1863, Captain Zeigler received a grape shot wound to his thigh while leading his company and died on the field.
