Bucyrus OH. Chartered Aug 25 1881. Named in honor of the Keller brothers. Amos Keller, Captain Co C 49th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, was mortally wounded at the battle of Stones River TN and died on New Years Day 1863. His brother Aaron served as 1st Lt in the same company of the 49th OVI. He also was mortally wounded at Stones River and died of his wounds later in Jan of 1863.
