Uses:
1) Image resizing (larger to smaller never smaller to larger)
2) Color balancing. Tip: Use the "Auto Balance" feature for a nice contrasted image.
3) Never use image editing software to convert file extensions. If you save a JPG as a GIF (or whatever) it will not work. If the image is a JPG then it stays a JPG. If it is a GIF then it stays a GIF. Etc. There is software specifically designed for converting file extensions.
