User Submitted Material
This is a user built site revolving around MYSQL databases and a complex series of interactive strings. The sole benefit is for preservation of the individual soldier.
Likewise, user submissions can be checked and confirmed through "checks and balances" and a series of Site and Regimental Moderators as well as official observers.
To date there are 3000 soldiers and 1000 detailed listings.
All submitters must use pre-copyright material or credit material used with permission. No modern works. No work from other websites if permitted without credit and permission. If those website owners wish to contribute they may do so.

Dyers Compendium (From the National Park Service Soldier's and Sailors Site: A Federal Government Project and from the publication "A Compendium of the War of the Rebellion by Frederick Dyer Part 3)
Ohio In the War (Reid) Available on Google Books. There are many sites already on the web that have used Dyer's in complete format. The histories used at the Ohio Civil War Network Archive are condensed excerpts. We encourage moderators and submitters to document the regiments movements in the "Maps and Movements" category.
Regiment by County:
Without useful sources readily available the county list wouldn't have been created. It was a month long project with over 80 hours of work. However, the following sources need to be aknowledge for the fantastic ability to format by county. This work was checked against Dan
Master's regiment list for accuracy. In the initial check it appears that many of the companies currently listed on this site are missing. Any additional sourcing information would be greatly appreciated to obtain completness of the Ohio Civil War Network list.
